Believe great things from God and attempt great things for God.
Ok, so this week has been amazing. God is doing wonderful things in our church. Let me share just SOME of the things He’s done the previous week:
It was my Aunts birthday so we went to celebrate as a family and ate out. I had a window of opportunity to share Christ with my Brother and he was receptive and asking loads of questions. We are going to meet again soon and talk some more.
We had an outreach and hundreds of fliers were given out and many people heard the Gospel. One lady I spoke to the week prior bumped into my wife and had another conversation with her. God must be dealing with her and I pray we see her in church soon.
The concert had over 8 visitors, who all heard the Gospel, but the highlight was the healing that took place that night. We had an evangelist with us (Edwin Jonkhout) and he prayed with a man who had JUST started attending our church the Sunday gone. He was diagnosed with Cancer this year and its been a real tough year for him, but God touched him and…well, hear his testimony in the video below!
Great morning service, God spoke to people directly. One particular person was having a conversation just before service and God confirmed what was spoken in private by repeating it to that person in the service! You should have seen their face! lol As a result of that, they have now, by Gods grace, decided to be more committed to God and be a lot more involved in His church.
Sunday evening was and incredible service. GOD CAME DOWN. I didn’t know how to dismiss the service. No one wanted to go home. Every person in the church got a word and they were spot on…it was scary in a way. God is very real and very involved in our lives and this was a strong reminder. At the end of that service three people were filled with the Holy Ghost. Gods presence was tangible and there wasn’t a dry eye in the building…apart from Darren…God is helping him. 🙂
Mex and I went the Eltham and handed out fliers and witnessed to people. Mex witnessed to Eastern Europeans, a catholic and a backslidden man and all were impacted. We also gave out a lot of fliers. God helping us along the way.
The heart of God is souls. That is His passion and that is our calling. It doesn’t matter how long or short you have been saved, if you name the name of the Lord as your God then you are called to witness. Called to be an example of Gods grace. Called to share Christ. What God is doing can only be done through willing men and women. Whatever church you go to…share Christ. If God has called you to be a preacher don’t lower yourself to be a King.
Isaiah 6:8 And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
What I learned:
- Don’t be afraid to pray for the sick. Miracles can trigger salvation. When sinners see God move for them they may respond to His Son.
- Christians will either love God and labour for Him, or love the IDEA of heaven and be more concerned with self preservation. Where do you stand?
- The harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few.
- Going outreach with another guy is sooooo much better than going alone.
Evangelist Edwin witnesses to anything that moves. Its his lifestyle and I’m hearing other pastors and churches are doing the same. The Croydon and Walthamstow church are putting together programs that will facilitate sharing Jesus DAILY! What a wonderful thing. Now its your turn….
Go and Declare.
Quote of the Day:
When God calls you to something, He is not always calling you
to succeed, He’s calling you to obey! The success of the calling is up to Him;the obedience is up to you.
